Live ND Creative Motion Test

This article discusses a Live ND creative motion test that I did earlier today and shares some corresponding images. Most of us who have cameras that have the Live ND feature typically use it to create ‘smooth water’ images of waterfalls and streams.

There are many other subjects where Live ND can be used to create some interesting creative motion effects. The images in this article were created at the miniature train display at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington Ontario.

Cropping with HHHR

The main objective of this article is to share some examples of cropping with HHHR technology, specifically with macro type photography. Additionally, a couple of links to earlier articles that outline some of the benefits of Handheld Hi Res (HHHR) technology are also provided.  These two earlier articles covered how HHHR increases dynamic range, and how HHHR does a very good job reducing noise when higher ISO values are used.

Field Testing Olympus Gear

We are preparing for some changes to our business. These shifts will impact our photography work. Our approach to video. And, the scope of services we provide to our clients. While I still intend to use our Nikon 1 equipment, some of the changes we have planned for our business will extend beyond the capabilities of the Nikon 1 system. This will result in the need for us to add some different camera equipment to our kit.
