After many months in development we are pleased to announce the publication of our Nikon 1 eBook: The Little Camera That Could.
This 210-page eBook discusses various aspects of the Nikon 1 camera system and showcases the capability of the Nikon 1 system with over 450 original photographs.
Rather than just show some sample images from The Little Camera That Could, we thought that it would be much better for our readers if we showed some actual pages. The jpegs used in this article were made from the original Nikon 1 eBook PDF file. We apologize in advance that there is some loss of quality when compared to the actual Nikon 1 eBook.

I suppose a good place to start is with the front cover and the Table of Contents.
About 75% of the total content of The Little Camera That Could is devoted to showcasing images in specific subject areas. This was done so readers could get a good demonstration of the Nikon 1 system’s capabilities.
The Little Camera That Could acknowledges some of the advantages of the Nikon 1 system. For example the page above is from the Auto-Focus Performance Section.
We do not shy away from discussing some of the challenges with the Nikon 1 system such as low light performance, or some of the potential issues when using it for video work in this Nikon 1 eBook.
The Little Camera That Could also provides some tips on using Nikon 1 camera gear. The page above is from the Aircraft section.
Since many photographers have an interest in close-up and macro photography, The Little Camera That Could has a section focused on this type of photography.
The Little Camera That Could also contains a section where current cameras and most 1 Nikon lenses are discussed from a practical use perspective, rather than a technical assessment.
My wife and I have taken our Nikon 1 gear on a number of travel adventures and The Little Camera That Could features a total of nine different travel destinations.
Some of these include Greece…
and New Zealand…
This Nikon 1 eBook also features a number of popular photographic subject areas including flowers…
Landscapes…
birds…
and birds-in-flight…
Specialized sections on Light Painting and Photo Art are also included in The Little Camera That Could.
Creating this Nikon 1 eBook has been a wonderful adventure. I thought it would be appropriate to share some Final Thoughts about The Little Camera That Could…
We hope that all readers, regardless of the camera gear that they may own, will enjoy The Little Camera That Could as a general photography book that showcases a wide range of photographic subject matter. Those of you who own Nikon 1 gear, may come to view this Nikon 1 eBook as a bit of a resource book.
Standard anti-piracy encryption which restricts printing, file editing, and copying and pasting content is in place. Unique QR coding has been done with The Little Camera That Could. We hope that readers understand the need to properly protect intellectual property during a time when intellectual theft is rampant.

Hello Tom,
Inspired by the ebook and the many great sample images on the WEB site, I bought a used nikon 1 j5 a year ago and did not regret it. My nikon d5200 now stays at home most of the time and I only use it in really low light conditions. Please continue with the short and very inspiring articles on the use of the nikon 1 system.
Greetings from Germany
Matthias
