We are pleased to announce that our Nova Scotia Photography Tour eBook is now available for purchase and download. This 375 page eBook has 64 featured locations, and contains over 625 original photographs, and is available for $12.99 CDN.
Information about the download process.
The download is a two-stage process. When you first click on the Buy Button you will be transferred to the PayPal site for you to make your payment. Once that is completed you will be redirected back to the website. You must wait for a minute or two after the PayPal logo has disappeared before you begin your download. There will be a pause for several minutes while the website prepares a personalized copy of the eBook you just purchased. This delay is normal. Do not click a second time as this will interrupt the creation of your personalized eBook. After a few minutes, the download will then begin. Your copy of the eBook you just purchased will have a QR code unique to you, and your password will be your email address that you used when purchasing the eBook.

Nova Scotia Photography Tour is designed to appeal to people who love to combine their interest in travel photography with a driving holiday. It will also appeal to folks who enjoy learning about various travel destinations.
The book is divided into ‘driving days’ with featured locations placed in the order of when they were visited during our photography tour. This makes it easy for readers to use a map to follow our daily tours. There is also some general commentary about travelling in Nova Scotia.
Some of our featured locations include popular tourist destinations such as Peggy’s Cove, Lunenburg, Fortress of Louisbourg, Halifax Waterfront, Baddeck, and the Cabot Trail.
Featured locations also include some out-of-the-way spots like Neil’s Harbour, Cape St. Mary’s, Little Dover, Iona, Tor Bay, Goose Cove, and the Port Bickerton Lighthouse.
Nova Scotia Photography Tour eBook is approximately 135 MB in size and may take 5 to 8 minutes to download depending on your internet speed. There will also be a short, initial delay of a few minutes before the download begins as a unique QR code marked copy of the book is being prepared for you during this time delay.
Nova Scotia Photography Tour is priced at $12.99 Canadian. Based on current exchange rates that is approximately $10 US, 8.6 Euros, and is less than 8 British pounds.
Nova Scotia Photography Tour is designed as a B5 size eBook, and is best viewed at its native size of 176mm x 250mm (6.9 inches x 9.8 inches).
EXIF data is supplied for the majority of images contained in Nova Scotia Photography Tour. These include focal length, aperture, shutter speed and ISO. Also included is equivalent field-of-view (efov) so readers can easily relate their camera gear to my Nikon 1 focal lengths.
During our photography tour of Nova Scotia my wife and I circumnavigated a good portion of the province. The eBook provides many views of rural Nova Scotia.
Other than spending about an hour and a half at the Halifax Waterfront we avoided cities during our photography tour.
We made it a point to photograph every day, regardless of the weather conditions and included images captured under difficult conditions in the eBook.
We photographed each day on a ‘catch as catch can’ basis regardless of the weather… replicating what the majority of people do when on a driving vacation. Our goal was to produce a ‘true to life’ travel photography eBook that illustrates the kinds of images that are possible when shooting mainly between the hours of 9am to 5pm when touring by automobile. We kept our hikes into various locations to a minimum, usually less than 400 metres (~ 1/4 mile),
We did take the odd opportunity to shoot later in the day, as seen in the Shubenacadie River image above, and early in the morning as illustrated by the Charlos Cove photograph below.
All photographs were captured hand-held in available light. While I captured the majority of photographs contained in Nova Scotia Photography Tour, my wife Rosemary also has a number of images in the eBook, including several images in this article. Other than bird photographs, her images are the ones captured with a Nikon 1 V3.
Rosemary and I would like to thank all of you for your ongoing support of our photography blog! We hope that those of you who decide to purchase a copy of Nova Scotia Photography Tour enjoy the eBook!
Now that our Nova Scotia Photography Tour eBook is completed, I’ll be working hard to finish our New Zealand photography eBook… hopefully before year end. I’ll then be focusing on a range of other planned eBook projects. No rest for the wicked you know!
