Changes to Nikon 1 V3 BIF Technique

I’ve had my Nikon 1 V3 for about a week and a half and finally got the opportunity to go out and shoot with it with a bit of sun in the sky. Not much mind you…but at least it wasn’t totally overcast. I took about 45 minutes out of my rather hectic schedule to experiment shooting birds-in-flight (BIF) at Grimsby harbour.  I ended up making some changes to my Nikon 1 V3 BIF technique this morning and got a lot more keepers with these adjustments. Leafhopper with 30-110mm

While at the Niagara Butterfly Conservatory I noticed a few unusual insects on some of the foliage and took some close-up images of them with a Nikon 1 J5, 1 Nikon 30-110 mm and MOVO extension tubes. Hummingbird Clearwing Moth 60fps

A few days ago I was in my backyard waiting in vain for a hummingbird to visit when I noticed something hovering around one of our butterfly bushes. I grabbed my camera and went to investigate. Listening to my little voice

I’m not sure how many other people have a ‘connection’ to a source of intuition and such. I’ve had a ‘little voice’ that has helped to guide my life for over 4 decades. Sometimes the messages I get are quite serious, like the one that allowed me to avoid what could have been a life-ending car accident some 30 years ago.
